A curated selection of Barbara Hammer’s films will be screened in The intimate gesture and the complicit desire, a program of short films at Filmoteca de Catalunya on May 22, 2026 at 8 pm!

The intimate gesture and the complicit desire brings together six films by Barbara Hammer that celebrate the Lesbian experience. The program traces the evolution of Hammer’s films through her works of self-portraiture to her representations of relationships and experiences of touch and desire.
