Barbara Hammer, Dyketactics (1974-78)

We are thrilled to announce that a curated selection of Barbara Hammer’s films will be screened alongside Barbara Forever (2026, Dir. Brydie O’Connor) in Céline Sciamma: Poetic Action, a cinema retrospective at the MK2 library x the Centre Pompidou in Paris, FR! 

On the occasion of her first retrospective at the Centre Pompidou, Céline Sciamma has built a program of her own feature films as well as films by inspirational figures such as Cheryl Dunye, Cécilia Mangini, Sarita Gomez, and Forough Farrokhzad. 

Barbara Forever will be screened on June 11 at 6:30 pm, with a screening of Hammer’s films Dyketactics (1974), Double Strength (1978), Optic Nerve (1985), and Nitrate Kisses (1992) to follow at 9:15 pm.
