We are thrilled to announce that Barbara Hammer’s film The History of the World According to a Lesbian (1988) will be featured in the Thessaloniki Biennale opening on May 23, 2026!

Titled everything must change. RIS9, the 9th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art presents an exhibition of works that engage with the urgent revolutionary demands of our time. The exhibition is organized by the Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (MOMUS) and curated by independent curator Nadja Argyropoulou, with co-financing by the European Union (NSRF – “Central Macedonia” Operational Programme).
