Barbara Hammer, Women I Love (1976)

Women I Love (1976) by Barbara Hammer will be screened in Follow the Plants a program of films curated by Danai Anagnostou at Cinema Orion in Helsinki, FI on August 28, 2026 at 11 am! 

Follow the Plants presents a selection of eight short and medium-length films that blend various traditions from the history of film, highlighting the ways in which moving image artists have engaged with plants as vehicles for themes of longing, memory, resistance, and power.

Barbara Hammer’s work will be featured alongside films by AK Wane, Alana Hunt, Catriona Gallagher, Elia Nurvista, Otar Iosseliani, Theo Panagopoulos, and Yugantar Collective.
