Barbara Hammer, Sync Touch (1981)

Barbara Hammer’s films X (1973), Sync Touch (1981), No No Nooky T.V. (1987), and Blue Film No. 6: Love Is Where You Find It (1998) will be featured in An Evening with Malga Kubiak and Barbara Hammer, a film program accompanying the exhibition The Woman Question 1550-2025 at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, PL on April 10, 2026!

An Evening with Malga Kubiak and Barbara Hammer will put Hammer’s films in conversation with the work of polish avant-garde filmmaker Malga Kubiak, showcasing the ways in which both artists approached the representation of the queer, female body through their individual filmmaking practices. The screening will be preceded by a conversation with Malga Kubiak, moderated by Dr. Krystyna Mazur.
