MIX NYC will present Barbara Hammer Through the Eyes of Others, a screening program celebrating Barbara Hammer’s legacy at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, NY on April 23, 2026 at 7 pm! 

The program will feature a screening of Hammer’s film Audience (1983), followed by films created in dialogue with her work including Love, Barbara (2022, Dir. Brydie O’Connor), Untitled (Dyketactics Revisited) (2005, Dir. Liz Rosenfeld), Carolee, Barbara and Guvnor (2018, Dir. Lynne Sachs), A Video Letter to Barbara Hammer (2018, Dir. Joey Carducci), and A Month of Single Frames (2019, Dir. Lynne Sachs).
