Dyketactics (1974) and No No Nooky T.V. (1987) by Barbara Hammer will be included in Pleasure and Dissidence: Feminist Views on Sexuality and Desire at Sala Equis in Madrid, ES on March 14, 2026 at 7 pm!

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Pleasure and Dissidence presents a selection of short films that trace half a century of feminist appropriation of the explicit image, exploring the ways in which feminist filmmakers have challenged the patriarchal view of desire and sexuality. Hammer’s films will be screened alongside works by Annie Sprinkle, Shue Lea Cheang, Cheryl Dunye, Erika Lust, Paulita Pappel, Olivia Lee, and Manon Praline. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Paulita Pappel and Caro Alamino, moderated by Aroa Elvira.
