GROUP EXHIBITION: “Overexposed: Art, Technology, and the Body” at MoMI

Barbara Hammer’s film, Sanctus (1990) will be featured in the exhibition Overexposed: Art, Technology, and the Body at the Museum of Moving Image in New York, opening on March 14, 2026!

Overexposed: Art, Technology, and the Body is an exhibition of research-based, educational films and contemporary artworks that examine the historical, medical, and sociopolitical implications of X-ray technologies. Hammer’s work will be included alongside films by Panteha Abareshi, Peggy Ahwesh, Lucien Castaing-Taylor and Verena Paravel, Ana Mendieta, Agnes Questionmark, and Leslie Thornton, among others.
