Barbara Hammer, The History of the World According to a Lesbian (1988)

Barbara Hammer’s work, ”The History of the World According to a Lesbian” (1988) will be on view in “Disobedience Archive (Canopy for Broken Time)” at Migros Museum in Zurich, CH, opening on February 7th, 2026!

“Disobedience Archive (Canopy for Broken Time),” curated by Marco Scotini with Nadia Schneider Willen, Tasnim Baghdadi and Yasmin Naderi Afschar, is an exhibition of 50 films that respond to the ecological, political, and technological issues of our time. In collaboration with Raqs Media Collective, the exhibition examines how time can be experienced beyond the rigidity of the present.
