Ways of Seeing, curated by Jakub Gawkowski, Daniel Muzyczuk, Paweł Polit, Katarzyna Różniak-Szabelska, and Franciszek Smorędaat, opens next week at Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, Poland!

Ways of Seeingnamed after John Berger’s celebrated text Ways of Seeing and Władysław Strzemiński’s Theory of Seeing— focuses on the process of seeing as both a biological function and a cultural and political act. The exhibition is divided into several thematic chapters that present art as a tool for questioning the ways in which we view and perceive reality, exploring issues related to identity, memory, corporeality, and perception as a tool for resistance.

Barbara Hammer’s photographs Big Eye (1980), Tee Corinne #4 (1972), and Tee Corinne #5 (1972) will be on view in the permanent exhibition starting on October 17, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
