Barbara Hammer’s film, “The History Of The World According To A Lesbian” (1988) will be exhibited in “Towards an Affinity of Hammers” opening on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Centre d’Art La Meute!

“Towards an Affinity of Hammers,” curated by Théo-Mario Coppola, Oriane Emery, and Jean-Rodolphe Pettero, is a group exhibition and public program series addressing the power of struggle and resistance from an intersectional perspective. Drawing from Sara Ahmed’s seminal essay, “An Affinity of Hammers,” this exhibition works to hammer away at the systems which silence marginalized voices, while highlighting connectedness and paying tribute to those who have persevered through intersectional struggles throughout history.
