Barbara Hammer, The History of the World According to a Lesbian, 1988

“The History of the World According to a Lesbian” (1988) by Barbara Hammer will be featured in a special night of film and video screenings presented by Centre d’Art La Meute at Cinema Bellevaux in Lausanne, CH on January 17, 2026 at 8 pm!

As an extension of their current group exhibition and programming series “Towards an Affinity of Hammers,” this screening highlights Hammer’s film alongside works by Taleb Lachheb, Isadora Neves Marques, Walid Raad, and Carole Roussopoulos (with Fatxiya Ali Aden and Sarah Osman). The screening will begin with a presentation by guest curator Théo-Mario Coppola and Oriane Emery and Jean-Rodolphe Petter from Centre d’Art La Meute.
