Barbara Hammer, “Dyketactics” (1978)

“Dyketactics” (1974) and “Double Strength” (1978) by Barbara Hammer will be featured in “Dyketactics: 50 Years of Lesbionic Cinema” at Outburst Queer Arts Festival in Belfast, IE on November 17, 2025!

“Dyketactics: 50 Years of Lesbionic Cinema”, presented by Club Des Femmes, puts Hammer’s films in conversation with “Untitled (Dyketactics Revisited)” (2005) by Riv Rosenfeld and “Lucid Noon, Sunset Blush” (2025) by Alli Logout to examine how queer experimental filmmakers have reinterpreted the gaze throughout multiple generations. The screening will be accompanied by an introduction from Club Des Femmes’ Selina Robertson.
